It is also worth visiting the street of the Knights, along which are situated the quarters of various nationalities that used to form the order of the Knights of St. John.

You can climb up to the small monastery which is located high upon a rock and with a fantastic view of the sea and town of Nisyros There is a frequent bus service from the port directly to the volcano.
